Texas Medicaid Records FOIA Request
To the HHSC Open Records Coordinator:Pursuant to the Texas Public Information Act (Texas Government Code Chapter 552), I am writing to request access to and copies of public records maintained by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.
Records Requested:I am requesting aggregate statistical data regarding Medicaid enrollment in the State of Texas. Specifically, I request monthly enrollment totals broken down by program type or eligibility category if available, covering the period from January 1, 2026, through the date this request is processed.
Note: I am solely seeking aggregate, de-identified statistical data. I am not requesting any personally identifiable information (PII) or protected health information (PHI) protected under HIPAA.Format of Records:If these records exist in an electronic format, such as a spreadsheet (Excel/CSV) or PDF, please provide them electronically via email to minimize reproduction costs.
Fee Waiver / Cost Limitations:If there are any fees associated with searching, reviewing, or duplicating these records, please notify me in writing with an itemized estimate if the cost is expected to exceed $40 before proceeding with the request.
If all or any part of this request is withheld, please cite the specific statutory exemption under the Public Information Act that justifies the withholding of the records, and notify me within the required 10-business-day timeframe.
